Welcome to Pony-up Rescue for Equines!

A registered 501(c)(3) non-profit located in beautiful Olalla, Pony Up is dedicated to the rescue and rehab of horses who are in need within Washington state. We fundraise for our own rescue and other quality equine rescues across the state.

OUR MISSION STATEMENT

Pony Up Rescue for Equines was organized to serve the equine community in the following capacities:

-The rescue and rehab of horses in need due to neglect, abuse or abandonment. We do not focus on any particular breed, but rather any horse who is in need due to starvation, neglect or abandonment. We seek to turn their lives around with rehabilitation, proper nutrition, veterinary care, and training. We also implement, organize and manage a wide variety of fundraising events designed to benefit our rescue and the equine community in which we live. Some of these benefits are low cost castration clinics, low cost vaccine clinics, hay banks and help with euthanasia costs to families who could not otherwise afford it.

– We believe that it is not enough to rescue horses from starvation or slaughter. In order to ensure their safety in the future, we seek to give them the training they need to find excellent homes for the rest of their lives and reduce the odds that they will ever wind up in jeopardy again.

– We work with students in the Pierce County Running Start Program and young adults within the Kitsap Community Resource Program who wish to volunteer their time. At Pony Up Rescue for Equines they will learn hands on about horses, their proper care and management. This will also teach them about commitment, responsibility and compassion. Students work for a semester at the farm, during which time the students will also begin to examine the real issues of unwanted and neglected horses. Students are asked to help budget, plan and implement a fundraising event during the semester. The education and interest of these students will impact the future of our society and how we treat animals.
