Adopted! lucky boy! congrats to the Kims!

What about Lucky’s history?

Lucky came to Pony Up in summer of 2015. He was very attached to Lottie, the pony, who was rescued from the kill pen. Lucky was with her and adamantly plead his case that he MUST go with her and so, we brought him with us. He was starved, but recovered quickly and is now healthy.

What does Lucky need?

Lucky is in retirement. He needs a quiet, safe, loving retirement home where he can be a companion to another horse or pony and live out the rest of his days. Lucky does need to be fed separately from his pasture mate in order to ensure he gets his nutrition. He will not fight for his meal against anyone and he is a slow eater, so accommodations that allow him to eat at his pace without interruption is required.

What about Lucky?

We estimate Lucky to be about 24 years old. Lucky loves to be groomed and is a very sociable horse. He gets along with just about everyone, especially ponies and mares. He does NOT like to be alone and will be very bonded to his pasture mate. A great pasture pet, he is very mild mannered and polite. He is halter broke and picks up his feet without fuss, but does not like to be away from his pasture mate for trims and vet visits.
